For many smokers, quitting smoking can be an ordeal. Today we’ll take a few tips that can help take the plunge.
According to Duke University in North Carolina, which has carried out the research, there are foods that worsen the taste of cigarettes, such as fruits, vegetables or dairy products. Instead, eat plenty of meat, alcohol or coffee produces the opposite effect, as it enhances its flavor, making smoking attractive. The study thus demonstrates that smoking seems to be reinforced by regular consumption of certain foods that enhance their flavor.

The study analyzed the behavior of 209 smokers, who were asked about foods they do worsen or enhance the flavor of snuff. Dairy products (milk or cheese), caffeine-free drinks (water or juice), fruit and vegetables were the foods that repeatedly named as protagonists of worsening the taste of cigarettes.

the results could help create a diet to stop smoking, with small changes in your diet by eating products worsen the taste of cigarettes, such as milk or a glass of cold water, and avoiding that enhance its flavor, beer, smokers may quit more quickly and easily.
Food becomes, after the study, an ally for those who want to quit, not an excuse not to.

Getting Relief from Cigarette Cravings with the Use of Nicorette Quickmist

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

The Nicorette Quickmist is used by smokers who are looking for ways to stop smoking without having to suffer serious side effects due to the sudden absence of nicotine from their body.  Many heavy smokers have actually found success in their attempt to stop smoking with the help of the Nicorette Quickmist.

Perhaps you already know that nicotine presence in cigarettes will result in addiction.  However, nicotine alone will not cause too much harm to the body but when it is combined with smoke and tobacco the effects are severe to the health.  Since it is rather impossible for a smoker to stop smoking just like that, it is better that the person uses Nicorette Quickmist because the amount of nicotine can be reduced gradually.  The body will not experience shock due to the sudden withdrawal of nicotine.  This way, you can kick out the habit of smoking gracefully.

Keep in mind that you should use the Nicorette Quickmist to help you stop smoking and not as the replacement for cigarettes.  While it is always beneficial to use the Nicorette Quickmist when compared to regular cigarettes, you shouldn’t take nicotine in the long term since nicotine is a form of drugs and it is undeniably addictive.  There is no use for you to end up your addiction to smoking cigarettes by using the Nicorette Quickmist as the permanent replacer.  If you do this you will develop a new habit, i.e. nicotine addiction.

Quit SmokingBy all appearances, not only obesity, sedentary lifestyle and smoking seem to affect adversely the functioning of the heart causing chronic and dangerous heart disease. In Dublin, working for General Microbiology Society, has recently unveiled the results of some research linking poor oral hygiene to the health of the muscle that never rests.

Professor Howard Jenkinson has commented that “no matter good health or be thin, if some bad teeth multiply the chances of heart disease, which clearly realizes the seriousness of the matter. On the other hand, a separate team of researchers has linked and tested through experiments that the poor oral health is also related to atherosclerosis, ensuring that the colonization of bacteria in the mouth causes a negative reaction to “stress proteins” as they are called, since the leukocytes in these cases, often dangerously accumulate in the arteries and cause the medium to long term, the emergence of the disease known as arteriosclerosis.

reasons to quit smoking

There are always more reasons to quit smoking: besides being the best option if you want to prevent future complications related mainly to the airways and lungs, now also known that smoking can increase the risk of type 2 diabetes.

According to the compendium of a number of studies, first with the different types of diabetes and, on the other, the cigarette, they concluded that smokers are up to 44% more likely to develop Type 2 diabetes than nonsmokers.

All these studies included the analysis reconsidered more than 1 million people and covered a period of between 5 and 30.

While the mere fact of smoking and a greater risk of CHD, also found that the more one smokes, that risk increases: thus, those regular smokers of 20 or more cigarettes per day, “were at greater risk than those lighter smokers, only a few per day.

Although the study did not prove directly that smoking is a cause of diabetes 2, it served to establish a relationship.

Thus, a new item is added to the list of good reasons to choose not to smoke or, in any case quit.
